Sheryl Crow 03:21
I walked you home, the end of the night You said to leave it alone, and so I took your advice And now you’re driving away My hands are holding my head I never asked you to stay Now I’m holding regret And now you know what they want, yeah you know what they say Your let their hate take your heart, you let them drive you away I guess I messed up the line “You were my favourite mistake” I’ve never been one to lie I’ll pass these hours in wait I left a light on to guide you back home, I want your car in my driveway You left a rope just to drag me along, writing my name on your windshield (x2) Love, Love, Love, Love

Muse 03:55
Fly far from this lie, I was the one, my words could warp your heart I'll give you my time, take all you want, and leave your broken signs I want to be your love, Could you be lovely, could you be lonely enough to come home (x2) Find and state some conviction, I was the one you loved and left behind So we'll drive through the fields and dream another night I'll plead for forgiveness, for your open empty eyes I want to be your love, Could you be lovely, could you be lonely enough to come home (x2) Could you be lovely, could you be lonely enough to come home I want to be your muse I want to be your health I want to be your love (x2)

You always told me that the world was gonna end Well now I'm waiting for it, hoping for it Your scent is lingering it's holed up in my room, my room A drink a coffee and I try to keep it cool My nerves are waiting for it, hoping for it I'm treading softly, treading not to make a sound You got me all the way around, and now I'm spinning for ya You got me all the way around, because I'll never let you go When I was younger I was foolish I was rude I never thought about it, dreamed about it I'm finding solace in the bottle and the brew And now I'm calling and I'm leaning on your wall We couldn't talk about it, talk about it I'm treading lightly 'cause you got me You got me all the way around, and now I'm spinning for ya You got me all the way around, and now I'm spinning for ya (When I come down)

Ode 02:58
Ode to the lone, I've always been a wealthy one And smile to your mother, when she was by your side 'Cause I've been thinking time, is rarely on our side And I've been splittin' words, to fit inside these versions I'm running from your ghost, I'm up the Western coast And I've been hauling boulders, to fit upon these shoulders Our lives are oceans apart 'Cause I've been thinking time, is rarely on our side And I've been splittin' words, to fit inside these versions I'm running from your ghost, I'm up the Western coast And I've been hauling boulders, to fit upon these shoulders Our lives are oceans apart (x4)

St Victor 03:50
When she talks I will be open, I'll be a guide for those who wander in the dark As I walk I'll be a nomad, I'll cross the plains with bones that crumble underfoot I guess I'm done, I'll yell it from the mountain, I'll carve it in the stone that keeps a distance from our town I guess I've won, I'll never let you let me down, I'll never let these forests hear your whispers in the dark When we depart we'll watch the night skies, sleep under hillsides and wake another day A fresh new start, stripped of our burdens, free from the weight of love, we'll find another way I guess I'm done, I'll yell it from the mountain, I'll carve it in the stone that keeps a distance from our town I guess I've won, I'll never let you let me down, I'll never let these forests hear your whispers in the dark

about

Nick Faye regina, Saskatchewan

Nick Faye crafts timeless songs that honour this past, embracing the hopes, dreams and frustrations of life lived in the Canadian Prairies. Fusing this with a clear love of mid-90s Pop Rock (think Rick Dees and The Weekly Top 40 in 1999), he creates songs that stick in the mind like a prairie snowdrift - taking their sweet time to melt away, slowly revealing the hope of new beginnings to come. ... more
